Sump and Pump Housing Clean

A sump clean is for a filter that looks clear while the base still smells or holds water. Food and grease sit under the filter, around the pump inlet. We lift the cover and clear the housing. We do not replace the pump. Send the form or WhatsApp for a price first.

Sump cleaning is part of the £79 to £129 deep clean. If the cover will not come off without breaking clips, we stop and you are not billed for a repair. The quote assumes a normal domestic housing.

What this visit does not include

  • We clean the housing. A seized pump, a broken impeller or a burnt-out motor is a parts repair.
  • Some models hide the housing behind panels we will not force. We will say if yours is one of them.
  • We do not open the motor electrics.

Before we arrive

Empty the racks. If you have already taken the filter out, leave it out and tell us.

After the visit

Rinse the filter monthly. Most of what reaches the sump got past a filter that was left dirty.

DIY or a visit

People rinse the filter and leave the sump. The smell is underneath. Do not stick tools into the pump inlet. That is how impellers get damaged.

How long it lasts

A cleared sump stays quiet until the filter is neglected again. In a family kitchen that is often a few months.
