Make, postcode, and whether it smells, leaves a film, grows mould on the seal, or holds water in the base. We reply with a price. Nothing is paid just to ask.
A smell is usually the filter and the sump. Dirty plates on the top rack are blocked spray jets. Black spots on the rubber are mould in the fold. Chalky glasses are scale, often with the salt left empty.
The mesh under the bottom rack holds grease and food a tablet never shifts. We take it out, scrub it, and put it back. That stops most of the smell.
If the top plates come out dirty, the holes in the arm are blocked. We take the arms off and clear each jet, including the middle arm where the machine has one.
Black spots in the fold of the door rubber come back after a wipe, because the mould sits in the crease. We treat the rubber. We do not cut it out or fit a new seal.
Chalky glasses and a white crust on the element are limescale, usually with the salt left empty. We descale the element and the arms, then set the salt.
A brown film on the tub and sticky racks is grease, not a cycle that needs to be hotter. We scrub the floor, walls, ceiling and racks, then rinse.
Water left in the base is usually food and grease in the sump. We clear that. If the pump itself is dead, we say so.

Once the price is agreed, we book a day. You do not need to buy a cleaner or empty a cupboard of products.
The filter is scrubbed. The arms come off and the jets are cleared. Black mould in the door fold is treated. Grease sitting in the sump is emptied. Then it goes back together.
We run the machine. If it still will not drain or heat, that is written down as a repair. It is not waved through as a finished clean.

The person who comes is insured. If the pump is dead or the element will not heat, that is said on the day. A clean is not sold for a broken part.
We clean dishwashers and nothing else. We do not repair pumps, heating elements, door seals or circuit boards, and we do not clean ovens, hobs or washing machines. If the machine will not drain because the pump is dead, we say so rather than selling a clean that cannot fix it.
