Drainage System Flush

A drainage flush is for water left in the base, a machine that gurgles, or a smell from standing water. We clear the sump, the drain inlet and the filter. A failed pump is a repair, and we will say so. Send the form or WhatsApp for a price before the visit.

A drainage flush is inside the £79 to £129 deep clean when the cause is debris. If we arrive and the pump is dead, you are not charged for a repair we do not do. The quote says which of those we are booking.

What this visit does not include

  • We flush a dirty drain path. We do not replace a drain pump, impeller or non-return valve.
  • If the machine shows a drain error and the pump does not run at all, that is an engineer’s job.
  • We do not rod the kitchen soil stack or the sink waste beyond the dishwasher connection.

Standing water removed so we can see the sump.

Filter, screen and the bits of glass and rice that sit under them.

Drain inlet flushed. The hose checked where it leaves the machine.

Test

A drain watched. If the pump does not run, we stop and tell you.

Before we arrive

Note whether any water drains at all, and whether the sink waste backs up when the machine pumps. That tells us if the blockage is in the dishwasher or in the sink trap.

After the visit

Scrape plates. A high loop or standpipe on the waste hose stops sink water running back in. We will point it out if the hose is wrong.

DIY or a visit

Bailing the water out and rinsing the filter fixes a one-off clog. It does not fix grease lining the drain inlet, and it does nothing for a pump that has stopped.

How long it lasts

Kitchens that scrape plates and rinse the filter rarely get a packed sump. If water sits after every cycle, do not wait months. Standing water is what makes the smell and the mould.
