Detergent Dispenser Clean

"I had never thought about cleaning my dishwasher until my dishes started coming out with a white film on them. DishwasherCleaning.com sent a technician within two days. The filter alone was absolutely disgusting — completely clogged with grease and food debris. After the service, my dishwasher runs quieter and my dishes are spotless. Highly recommend."

"The mould around my door seal was bad. I had tried cleaning it myself with vinegar and bicarbonate of soda but it kept coming back. Their technician used a professional-grade treatment and explained why DIY solutions only scratch the surface. It has been three months and no mould has returned."

"Quick booking, showed up exactly on time, explained every step and my dishwasher smells like new. Best appliance service I have ever hired."

— Linda K., Verified Customer · 5-Star Review

"I signed up for the quarterly maintenance plan after my first cleaning. It is completely worth it. My dishwasher has been running perfectly for over a year now. Saves me money on water and energy too."

Detergent Dispenser Clean

A dispenser clean is for a tablet still in the door, powder caked in the drawer, or glasses cloudy because the detergent never released. We clear the chamber and the jet. A flap that never opens is a repair. Send the form or WhatsApp for a price before the day.

  • Pod or tablet still sitting in the dispenser
  • Caked powder in the drawer
  • Cloudy glasses and a wash that looks like it ran on water only
  • Rinse aid not dropping, or the cap gummed shut
Detergent Dispenser Clean

Dispenser cleaning is included in the £79 to £129 deep clean. It is rarely the whole visit, because a machine that is not releasing detergent is usually dirty elsewhere too. If the only fault is a dead solenoid, we say so and do not invent a cleaning charge for a part we do not fit.

Included

  • Dispenser drawer or door chamber opened and cleared
  • The jet or inlet that fills the drawer, where the model has one
  • Rinse-aid cap freed if detergent has gummed it
  • A cycle checked to see detergent release
  • A note if the flap never moves and the part has failed

What this visit does not include

  • We clean a clogged dispenser. We do not replace solenoids, wax motors or latches.
  • If the flap never clicks open on a cycle, that is a part.
  • We do not supply detergent, salt or rinse aid.

How the visit runs

1
Open

Drawer or door dispenser emptied of caked powder and swollen tablets.

2
Clear

Chamber and jet washed so the next dose can leave.

3
Rinse aid

Cap checked. A stuck cap leaves spots even when the wash detergent is fine.

4
Watch

A cycle started far enough to see the dispenser open.

Before we arrive

Tell us whether you use tablets, powder or gel. Leave the dispenser as it is. Do not force a stuck flap.

After the visit

Dry hands when you load a tablet. A wet pod swells and jams the chamber. Do not overfill powder. The excess cakes the drawer.

DIY or a visit

Picking one tablet out with a knife does not clear the jet behind the drawer. The next pod sticks in the same place.

How long it lasts

Once the chamber is clear, normal use keeps it clear if tablets stay dry and powder is dosed properly. Gummed rinse-aid caps come back if the cap is cross-threaded.

Questions about this clean

Either the chamber is clogged, the tablet was wet and swelled, or the flap mechanism has failed. The first two are a clean. The third is a part.

No. We clean it. If it does not open on a test cycle, you need a spare.

Powder left damp in the drawer turns to paste and blocks the jet. Gel is less likely to cake, but a dirty chamber still will not dose.

If the cloud is from detergent that never released, yes. If the glass is etched, or the jets are scaled, the dispenser is only part of the visit.
